Lawn Chair Curling is the game for you. Enjoy this game with 2-8 of your favorite people of all ages… any time! With fast and easy set up and a convenient carry case, this game is sure to be a hit with everyone at the lake, backyard or camper!

Make sure to follow the rules

Follow along for an easy game set up.

  1. Lay the mat in a suitable area where all players can gather around with their own lawn chair.
  2. Pick your curling team.
  3. Toss a coin and call it to see which team will have the hammer (go last).
  4. The team that does not have the hammer gets to choose the color of rock they prefer.
  5. Distribute the rocks evenly among all players (2-8 players can play the game at once).
  6. Each player will sit with an opponent to their left and right.
  7. Players should be no closer than 1 meter from the playing surface (house).
  8.  Each player the shoots one rock at a time in a clockwise rotation.
  9. Once all rocks have been played the team that has one rock closest to the button wins that round.
  10. The losing team must pick up all the rocks and hand them out to each player on the other team, while the winning team gets to stay in their lawn chairs.
  11. The team that wins the first 10 rounds is the winner!
Note: If you would like to keep score like traditional curling, please feel free to do so. These are the rules we find to be the most fun and exciting while camping with our friends and family. Most importantly have fun!

Get to the mat

Lay the mat in a suitable area where all players can gather around with their own lawn chair.

Pick teams

Pick your curling team.

Coin toss

Toss a coin and call it to see which team will have the hammer (go last).

Choose your color

The team that does not have the hammer gets to choose the color of rock they prefer.

Distribution

Distribute the rocks evenly among all players (2-8 players can play the game at once).

Take a seat

Each player will sit with an opponent to their left and right.

1 meter away

Players should be no closer than 1 meter from the playing surface (house).

Clockwise

Each player then shoots one rock at a time in a clockwise rotation.

To the button

Once all rocks have been played the team that has one rock closest to the button wins that round.

The best losers

The losing team must pick up all the rocks and hand them out to each player on the other team, while the winning team gets to stay in their lawn chairs.

Win the game

The team that wins the first 10 rounds is the winner!
